How the vanity generator works and how to stay safe.
What is a vanity address?
A normal Bitcoin address whose text starts with letters you choose, like
1Satoshi… or bc1pstack…. It spends and receives like any other address.Is the free generator safe?
We generate free addresses on our server and send the private key to your browser over HTTPS. Save it the moment you see it: it is yours, and we cannot recover a lost key. Addresses of 4 characters or more go only to your email.
How do paid orders work?
After you pay, we detect it within minutes. Once the payment reaches its first confirmation on the blockchain, we start generating your key. When the search finishes, we email you the address and private key.
Which formats are supported?
Legacy P2PKH (
1…), SegWit P2WPKH (bc1q…) and Taproot P2TR (bc1p…).Why are some characters not allowed?
Bitcoin address encodings have fixed alphabets. Base58 (legacy) has no
0 O I l; bech32 (SegWit/Taproot) is lowercase and has no 1 b i o.How long will my prefix take?
Each extra character multiplies difficulty by ~32× (bech32) or ~58× (legacy). The generator shows a live estimate before you start.
