How to import a private key into Blockchain.com

Import your custom address key into the Blockchain.com web wallet.

Blockchain.com lets you import a Bitcoin address by its private key. Please be advised that importing Bitcoin addresses is only available in the web wallet (not the mobile app). Its interface changes from time to time, so treat the labels below as a guide.

  5. 5

    Click Import Private Key

Click the Import Private Key button — that's it. The address appears under Imported Bitcoin Addresses and becomes available for sending and receiving.

Note: the private key must be in compressed WIF format. If you are importing a key in an uncompressed format, convert it to compressed before importing.

Wallet interfaces change, so the exact button names and screens may differ from this guide. Always download wallets from their official websites, and never share your private key with anyone.
